Advancing appliance OEM discussions at EuroCucina / FTK 2026 during Salone del Mobile.Milano
Milan, Italy – April 19, 2026 – Sonexos, a Swiss-based technology company developing solid-state, plasma-based active noise reduction solutions, today announced that it will attend Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026, taking place at Fiera Milano, Rho, from 21–26 April 2026. During the event, Sonexos will meet with strategic partners, appliance manufacturers, kitchen system companies and manufacturing partners to discuss how its Plasmapanel platform may support quieter next-generation domestic appliances and airflow systems.
This year’s edition includes EuroCucina / FTK – Technology For the Kitchen, the biennial exhibition dedicated to the kitchen environment and its enabling technologies. For Sonexos, it provides a focused setting in which to engage manufacturers addressing noise, integration and performance challenges in premium domestic and built-in appliance applications.
Low-frequency noise generated by fans, compressors and ducted airflow remains one of the more difficult acoustic problems in domestic appliances. Conventional passive treatments can become bulky and restrictive at lower frequencies, particularly where product designers are also trying to preserve compact form factors, usable internal volume and efficient airflow.
Sonexos is developing a different approach. Its Plasmapanel platform is based on the company’s proprietary plasmacoustic metalayer technology, which enables active sound absorption in a thin, solid-state form. For appliance and airflow applications, this creates a path toward more compact acoustic control architectures in cases where conventional passive solutions are difficult to package or scale.
The company’s development work in airflow and appliance-related systems is aimed at addressing broad low-frequency and lower-mid-frequency noise bands, while supporting practical product integration. Depending on system architecture and application conditions, this approach has the potential to reduce reliance on bulky passive silencers and foam-based treatments.
Low-frequency airflow noise remains a persistent challenge in domestic appliances, particularly where space, airflow and industrial design constraints all matter at the same time.
said Mark Donaldson, Founder and CEO of Sonexos.
We are looking forward to meeting strategic partners and appliance manufacturers at Salone del Mobile and EuroCucina to discuss how the Plasmapanel platform can help enable a new generation of quieter, more integrated domestic appliance.
